Documented Play shares the experimental adventures renowned artist Chris Hennelly as he explores new mediums, techniques, and lessons learned in the world of interactive design.

Since earning his BFA at University of North Texas and MFA Parsons School of Design, Chris has spent the last decade teaching, exploring, observing and actively contributing to the field of interactive design. He has worked as an Adjunct Professor at Parsons School of Design in NYC, as an artisan himself across multiple disciplines, and even as a Set Director for numerous publications, productions companies and networks like Showtime.

Chris has a strong commitment to fostering the development of future artists. During his time as a student in higher education, he fell in love with the teaching process and saw first hand the benefits of a strong mentor relationship. Chris has a unique perspective on the importance of allowing students to take ownership in the learning process. His hands-on teaching style has helped his students gain a greater sense of perspective as they explore create solutions throughout the learning process.

Chris was born and raised in Dallas, Texas. He is a dual citizen of Ireland and the United States and has a diverse ethnic background – English, Irish and Lebanese. He has had the fortune of living and working world wide, which has greatly influenced his artistic point of view. He recently relocated from New York City and now happily resides back in Dallas, Texas.
