Mediums: Briar, Vulcanite mouthpiece
Overview: I had the opportunity to make a pipe in a friend’s studio up north – how could I say no?! I quickly sketched out a shape on a piece of paper and began roughing out the shape from a raw piece of Briar wood. I started on a lathe, and then refined the bowl shape using a file. Final detail work and wax polish was applied using a couple of belt sanders and a buffing wheel.
