Medium: X-Static silver socks, Microcontroller Amp
Overview: I was given a pair of these socks by the company and thought it would be a funny idea to make an instrument for your feet using the sock’s conductive properties. I made this prototype in collaboration with Mike Edwards by sewing snaps into the socks with conductive thread and attaching them to a circuit. This would read the electrical resistance from one sock to the other as they touch and then play a tone based on the input value.
