Medium: Glass
Overview: This collection represents early glass play, with all pieces made at MarrsArt Glassblowing Studio. The blue and orange vase was my first foray into glass blowing. I made this vase by blowing and spinning to get the basic globe shape, and then by using cork paddles to change the one axis to be thinner from front to back. I left the top unground to show that it is handmade. Most recently, I’ve been practicing working with different styles of jack and creating necklines. The latest glass piece still in progress. Next, I’d love to find the right leather for the hanging straps and then imagine some moss balls hanging out inside.
